A Meandering Life...

Out and About

Today we rode the rails. Five trams travel the 50 minute route around the city centre, we tried 3 of them. Some of these trams are over 100 years old.

Our other adventure was to visit the botanic gardens which gives me todays main Blip. Much to do and see and the stairs in the lake gives an interesting image to show you.

Already we have explored much around our apartment. I will try and add an extra each day to show an aspect of Christchurch. Today I’m highlighting Tūranga the largest library in the South Island. It’s a wonderful space and design were the native Harakeke flax inspired the external pattern. It was opened in 2018. The rooftop open terrace gives a commanding view of the damaged Cathedral. I will feature that another day.
