Star Magnolia

This is one of the early bloomers in spring, with its elegant flowers.  

My Lensbaby Double Glass II optic arrived yesterday so I was anxious to give it a try, having seen so many wonderful shots taken with the old Double Glass here on blip and many with the new version that are cropping up on Facebook.  As always when using a Lensbaby, I was not happy with most of my results and still have to figure it out.  Perhaps I need to lower my expectation on yield when I shoot with it.  I have become used to nailing most of my shots with wildlife, but this is a whole different story. 

Will pick up some flowers today at Trader Joes and see if I can't work this out.
