The Icebreaker

Squirrel asked if she could break the ice on the pond this morning so the birds could get a drink .......... Knock yourself out girl - just don't fall in.

I went out to the garage and SWMBO walked up to the shop (some cheap meal-deal).
When she arrived back she went to speak to H who was waiting on another estate agent coming to look at the house he is putting up for sale .... the renter (the mother of 2 of his 3,500 grandkids) is moving in with her partner and he has an extension for his own house sitting on the back-burner, so the house is leaving his portfolio. He was also moaning that his wedding ring is deformed (he hit it when preparing firewood - not an axe ....he isn't allowed to use the axe I gave him as a housewarming gift after nearly removing his thumb) - so I turned a cone and a 'press' in an attempt to round it out again. It didn't work, so he is going to have to bite the bullet and have it sent away.

As we finished coffee there was a phone call from bags - she did so well at a trade show earlier this week that she is being sent to London for a really big one in a couple of weeks. She knows that she cannot stand all day for 3/4 days so she wanted her special collapsing stool from home so it could go on the 'pallet' of stuff which was leaving this afternoon (she will be flying and it wouldn't go in her hand luggage) - so that was a wee trip out to Newbridge.

My attempts at box making this afternoon didn't go well, so I gave it up as a bad job.
I have done a wee gonk though - but that will go in the Blip Bank.

There was another phone call from Bags late afternoon...The Cygnet has decided that he would rather go to Scout camp than go with the family to Devon to camp. So we are having him for a couple of days/nights and then dropping him off at camp. The lad is growing up.

We had a visitor eyeing up the sparrows in the hedge .... until I opened the window.
