Quod oculus meus videt

Farrier Fog

Out and about we dropped into the stables just as Georgie was being re-shod. The amount of smoke was impressive, the smell not so much. It brought back memories of my training days at the local slaughterhouse where the slaughter men used burners to remove the course hair from the pigs on the line.

The day started with more snow but as soon as it stopped it started to thaw and for some of the places we visited they had no lying snow at all.
