Parkrun Tourists

We made it!  Early up; off to the park; inspection; concerns; gritting; cones; agreement and ten to eight confirming Parkrun was on, just one out of two events in our area going ahead.  All the others cancelled due to snow.

I put on my best teacher's voice (ooooh said the parkrunners!) at briefing to make it clear that we had done everything to make sure the course was safe but participants still had to take care.  Much fun was had and lots of finishers gave thanks for the effort and early ups.

H and S here were surprised to be running in snow.  They hail from Wellington, NZ where temperatures rarely dip below 4 degrees.  They were a lot of fun and reminded me of the many lovely folks we met on our NZ adventure: Blippers Old Timer, rainie, TMLhereandthere and Viking amongst them.

We are now in a premier inn in Northumberland to break the journey to an inter club orienteering event up here tomorrow.  I paid £5 for 'Ultimate' wi-fi to upload my Parkrun blips, not so sure about the Ultimate.......
