Slow Poke

This morning we had RFS training (and property familiarisation) at the new 5* restaurant about to open in the valley. As it will probably be my only opportunity to see it I was keen to go along :-)
It was quite hot, so fun to practise with the fire hose. Mr isbi here (in the extra) is being supported by another fireman. It takes two to man a hose as the pressure is so great. I would have fallen over when I turned it on without someone pushing on my back.

It was going to be my main blip but as we were crossing the creek on the way home this cute tortoise was sitting in the middle of the road. It didn't seem to mind me getting quite close to photograph it. 
As I was doing so another car approached and it was my brother-in-law! We didn't even know he was coming up for a few days from Canberra.

PS In the process of blipping this, I learned that the collective noun for a group of tortoises is a "creep"! Good one :-)
