Street selling

This is such a typical Vietnam scene that I had to capture it and I did like the colourful umbrella. It was good to see that one of the locals was buying some of her produce.

After breakfast we walked back to the lovely old Post Office building ( 2nd extra) and continued down to the  Saigon river waterfront ( other extras) passing the Opera house and several large opulent looking hotels on the way.
The architecture in this part seems very modern with high rise buildings and is a real contrast to much of what we have seen in other parts of the country.
We could see the relatively new suspension bridge that we crossed over yesterday when our guide explained that before this bridge and others were built the crossing was by ferry.

We had chatted with a couple from Sydney at breakfast and they had recommended a small local restaurant so that is where we went for our evening meal - we enjoyed the local food in a place buzzing with local people.
