Between fen and mountains

Packhorse bridge

Today's walk began in one of the side valleys and then up across the plateau taking in two chapels and then a steep descent back to our starting point. The weather was very kind and the sun shone all day with the temperature climbing into the 20s. It feels like spring has definitely arrived. We did have one faller on the way but he only received some scratches from the brambles. However, he fell again on the descent without hurting himself but, given his age and fitness, he had probably bitten off more than he could chew. The walk was not particularly demanding, 518 m of ascent and 9 km in total.
