The Dam

The great day to go out. Sunny again, +2, some wind. A bit cold, but not bad.

The snow has melted quite much in two days, as you can see in Extra from the same place as two days ago. I went out and after some riding with the moped met Mr S coming back from his own errands. We went together to see if streets have melted enough to get to the Vanhankaupunginkoski dam by a moped. It's only about two km from us. We got there very well already now (the Main). By the overpass for pedestrians you can see fine water drops like smoke rising from the rapids below. The area is an impressive and beautiful. I blipped something about the area last week. The Vanhankaupunginlahti bay area is a unique nature-, culture- and recreational area close to Helsinki city centre. You can try to open this link, for I'm not sure if it works:
