Blue sky & birdsong

Felt a bit weird this morning so cancelled trip to Teignmouth with Mum. Met Mum's new neighbour Tricia as she was unloading her shopping from the car, her husband's called Alan. Yet to meet him. Welcomed them to the village then walked Indie, spotted 7 yellow butterflies on the heath. Brimstone? Did'nt seem big enough to me. Not sure, they did'nt land. Tadpoles in the big puddle. Scattered peanuts for the badgers.
Quick coffee with Mum then home, a couple of Paracetamol, & bed. Woke at 3pm feeling a lot better. Coffee & slice of toast topped with my homemade courgette, lemon & ginger jam. Did the Sun Saturday crossword. Learnt today... Louis Armstrong's nickname 'Satchmo' is derived from 'satchel mouth' , meaning someone with a big mouth.
Beautiful blue sky now, blackbird singing away, accompanied by the gentle accompaniment of my wind-chimes.
