Bile farm cruelty

I received a letter from Animals Asia today with pictures and facts of a moon bear (named Dong Bao by the rescuers) rescued from an illegal bile farm after having spent all his life since a cub, six years altogether, in a rusty cage and forced to wear a rusty metal jacket to keep the catheter in place. He had a fleshy wound on his abdomen when the vet took the jacket off.

To quote from the letter I received: "The day Dong Bao was rescued was the first day of his new life." See Extra.

I became aware of Animals Asia and Jill Robinson's work years ago when I signed up to Blipfoto. An Australian vet nurse had a journal here at Blipfoto.
