Rain and sun

We have Daniel and Solveig with us as a pre-Mother’s Day treat; Solveig starts her new job as a senior architecture on Monday, so she wants to be back tonight ready to use Sunday to prepare herself.

It’s lovely to see them, though neither Solveig or myself are feeling at our best, so we remain at home reading and chatting while the male contingent go for a morning walk.

Of course, it’s ‘Super Saturday’ so there are three rugby games to watch. Congratulations to Ireland who thoroughly deserve the championship, and we watch with much relief to see that Wales are not completely destroyed by France and actually manage to score four tries. It’s some consolation, but I suspect it will be some time before we have a team capable of winning a Grand Slam again.

At some time between matches, I see the afternoon rain has stopped and sun is streaming into the garden, water droplets sparkling on branches. I grab my camera and take some shots - today’s blip sorted (much better large on black if you have time).
