Signs of spring

The weather offers little in terms of inspiration yet again today, but at least it’s dry, so we set off for a walk along the sea wall at Llanfairfechan. In theory, this should be a positive experience, but the reality is one of bitter winds, grey skies and a landscape devoid of any photographic inspiration; reluctantly, I manage a walk around the boating lake before retreating to the car.

Bodnant is a possibility, but I really want to wait for sunshine and blue skies, so we settle for the RSPB reserve in Conwy. Birds, ironically, are few and far between - though admittedly the birdsong’s gorgeous. More in evident are buds and catkins, signs of spring, my favourite shot becoming today’s blip.
