Drops and stripes

At last a decent day and I could take my breakfast out to the garden. Since the rain only stopped in the early hours, some leaves look especially lovely. I do like the leaves of this species tulip, can’t remember what colour the flowers are, but the leaves are a pleasing backdrop for raindrops.

Suddenly the garden is very active - lots of flowers beginning to emerge, the lawn needed cutting and I’ve cut back all the clematis plants. Thanks to Monty Don for the reminder on Friday’s Gardener’s World.
