Blooming Copper Beech

Always a good sign of Spring coming, in our garden, is the Copper Beech flowering.
We had a 'tree surgeon' company come to cut down the tops of the Laurel, and other overhanging trees. They actually did an awful job but the boss of the company was a supercilious type who took great delight in belittling people who didn't know the correct names of trees and bushes. He told us the copper beech was something else, 'something' plum I think it was, but I can't remember what he said it was so, it will always be Copper Beech to us!
