Felixstowe and beyond

What a wonderful day! Ralph and I set off around 10am, and drove the country lane route to Felixtowe docks where we wandered, with his woofer Pip, in bright sunshine but very cold wind. The huge and majestic cranes I find fascinating to watch, as well as the various sea vessels all around on a fairly grey colored River Stour.  We had brunch in the cafe next to the docks before moving on to old Felixstowe where we strolled around the ferry area. Next port of call was Harwich pier (today's main photo) before completing the final leg home, via mostly leafy lanes showing Suffolk and Essex as exemplars of this green and pleasant land.  Dinner this evening was at the Roaring Donkey (again).  Afterwards, a couple of hours down memory lane together ended this very enjoyable day.
