Checking his phone

The fair has been in town and so has the rain overnight. I walked along the River Nith in the centre of Dumfries and when I walked back high tide had arrived and the water flowed in to the car park. The families who run this fair were all waiting anxiously to see how bad it was going to be. I asked someone if they would need to pack up and go, but he reckoned no.
