If you can't beat them...

Bell Heather ( Erica x darleyensis "Rubina" )

Having changed the duvets at the Lodge we needed to nip up to Dunelm in Carlisle as they are the only people we have found who recycle such things.  Clickychick needed some coloured card for a project.  So we could kill two birds with one stone.  First stop Dunelm then on to Houghton Hall garden centre as they have a craft shop in the basement.  Obviously, we had a wander round looking for blips.

This heather caught my eye.  E x darleyensis is a hybrid between the bell heather we are familiar with ( E carnea) and the Irish Heat (E erigena).  As you can see from the shot they provide wonderful colour through the winter.
