Tree Peony Bud

After such a long, long wait for Spring it has sprung *Pop* so fast I can almost see the flowers opening and the landscape softening by the hour. Also, some of us have endured enjoyed (?) a high temp. today of 83ºF or 28ºC. And it was only a week ago that the frost iced the lilac blooms! The shiny spots on the leaves are remains of a rain shower... that helped raise the humidity to nearly unbearable.
For us this is like summer humidity & heat. But the rewards just keep coming in the garden. This blossom on the tree peony is getting ready to be even more beautiful than the exotic leaves. And I promised this plant that I would put a wire cage around it this winder to keep the deer from nipping and pruning it so much.
In a few days the open flowers will be ready for blipping.
