In fact at times it can be far more spectacular than this. Today it was calm. But when high tides coincide with westerly gales I would not have been standing where I was.
As for the van! There is always one who thinks they can get through. But when the water goes up the exhaust pipe thats another diesel engine ruined.

The prospect of flooding from global warming made me think. I find it difficult to understand why the latest United Nations report forecasting world catastrophe unless drastic action is taken very soon comes as the third or fourth story in the newspapers.
How can our young people, who will have to live with this, spend so much time  and energy on other issues.
