Harvest

About a third of our wild garlic harvest, washed and drying before being zapped into pesto. This batch was made with pine nuts, the next batches will use whatever other nuts and seeds we have in the cupboard and need to use up.
We picked the garlic from the banks of the River Almond this morning, a pleasant stroll that was marred somewhat when a young Alsatian clamped its jaws around S’s arm. Luckily her jacket proved to have excellent teeth-penetration resistance, unlike her arm which is slightly punctured. There’ll be some cracking bruises tomorrow.
