Stuff and Nonsense

Copenhill activity centre

This weekend I am in Copenhagen with my best friend for the 50th birthday celebrations of an old work colleague. She organised an “activity” during the day to keep us occupied whilst we waited for the main party event in the evening. This was a ferry ride to Copenhill which is Copenhagen’s epicentre for urban mountain sport. Thankfully we weren’t going to be snowboarding or skiing down the dry ski slope. Instead, we did 5 Kamp instead, which consisted mainly of knocking huge nails into wood, crazy golf and throwing various objects at targets - bolas, bean bags and quoits. It was a lot of fun.
In the afternoon we helped the birthday girl decorate the party room and then it was time for the party. 50 people came - a three course meal, speeches, games and lots of music and dancing until nearly 3am in the morning - all done “Danish style” It was fabulous.
My main is the urban living area as we got off the ferry, which just looked like a bunch of adapted shipping containers - very novel!
There’s a few more in extras if you’re interested in a view from Copenhill, the birthday girl playing crazy golf, the decorated room and my best friend with our old (much taller) boss!
