Practice cake

The baking of the 6” cake went very well, yesterday I cut it into three layers and filled it with raspberry jam and buttercream icing.
After a short chill, I iced the outside and scraped it back to a very thin coating, so the cake shows through. This is called a semi-naked cake, and is all the rage now at weddings..
I made a mock up of the three tiers and put the silhouette topper on so that my friend and customer could see the effect.
She was very pleased, and after some debate decided on the decoration she would like too.
Then we ate it!
