This female Orchard Spider, Leucauge venusta, was busy constructing her web right smack in the middle of our access to the from yard hose. Her mate was there for a short time, watching her build while I took these photos. The Orchard Spider is a long-jawed orbweaver spider common from southern Canada to Columbia, along the U.S. East coast and up into the central U,.S. They are also found in South Asia.
Oh, and I forged a new, temporary path to the hose! :)
