Ilam Park

After checking out this morning, my cousin and I went to nearby Ilam Park for a stroll around the grounds and a quick coffee. We popped into the estate church which has some very old gravestones and artefacts including this Anglo Saxon (I think) font. The main building is now a youth hostel - a great location next to Dovedale.

Then I drove to my sister’s where I’m staying overnight before driving home in the morning. She’s quite close to the Peak District so it was an good chance to catch up with her.
