Thorpe - Mayfield - Mappleton - Thorpe

After losing an hour’s sleep with the clocks changing last night, I managed to drag myself out of bed in time for breakfast and today’s walk. We walked from the house today so no coaches to worry about. I chose the middle walk again but today it was 10 miles with 1250 foot of ascent, so harder than yesterday but not too much. However, it was much muddier in places which makes for slow going at times.

Near the end, we were treated to a view of sheep feeding time. The farmer arrived on his quad bike with a feeder on the back, rounded up the ewes and left piles of food on the ground for them. The lambs were left running around trying to find their mums again!

After dinner this evening, we played a game of skittles which is always a good fun way to end the holiday. But now I’m very tired, quite achy (lots of stretching has been done but more will be needed in the morning) donuts time for lights out.
