Caernarfon to Porthmadog

on the Welsh Highland Railway, a great day despite the rubbish weather. We travelled in the Pullman, 1st extra, all very comfortable and warm. The scenery of mountains and rivers and everything in between was beautiful. There was a stop at the far end to allow time for lunch, after walking for ten minutes the Big Rock cafe appeared, it was very good, wholesome, tasty and very friendly, we had Homity pie and a Muddy Wellie, half each. With great coffee, yes even the decaf. And the queue to get in was long, our timing was lucky.

We popped into another Cats Protection shop to buy two catmint fishes for our little charges. They went down very well, proof is in the soggy fish after a 20 minute play. Although, the little label removed from the fish was also of great interest afterwards. Now all is quiet. An enjoyable time on a cold wet day.
