“Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz / My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends / Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends / So Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz”
― Joplin, Neuwirth, McClure

Ar ôl diwrnod gwlyb, es i allan i Lidl i brynu ychydig o bethau, gan gynnwys pitsa ar gyfer te. Rydyn ni ar genhadaeth, ar hyn o bryd, i ffeindio'r pitsa ‘siop’ gorau. Mae'n arbrofiad diddorol - ac weithiau flasus hefyd.

Boed hynny fel y byddo, roeddwn i bacio fy paniers ac yn canu at fy hun ‘Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz’ pan ddaeth rhywun i mewn, mewn Mercedes Benz, ac yn parcio ar bwys i fi. Cyd-ddigwyddiad?

Wrth gwrs dydw i ddim eisiau bod yn berchen ‘Mercedes Benz’ o gwbl - mae'n well gyda fi reidio beic. Ond os gallai i fforddio un, byddai gen i ddigon o arian ... i wario ar rywbeth arall.

After a wet day, I went out to Lidl to buy a few things, including a pizza for tea. We're on a mission, at the moment, to find the best 'shop' pizza. It's an interesting experiment - and sometimes delicious too.

Be that as it may, I was packing my panniers and singing to myself 'Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz' when someone came in, in a Mercedes Benz, and parked next to me. Coincidence?

Of course I don't want to own a Mercedes Benz at all - I prefer to ride a bike. But if I could afford one, I'd have enough money ... to spend on something else.
