Paddle Power

It was a day of sunshine retreats - in out, in out, in out.

Went out for a walk at lunchtime and basked in the sea breeze blowing off the Clyde - I love it when the usually brackish river smells briny and speaks of whence it came. The paddle-steamer Waverley was docked, several men were at work, making her ship-shape, painting and polishing. I like how the waves are glinting on her bows here.
