Farewell Church

A charming little church hidden away from the main roads in Staffordshire. I’m ashamed to admit that, although I’ve photographed and visited the outside, I’ve never ventured in. 

On my way home from the garden centre this morning, I stopped there briefly. It’s been very much smartened and the new signage is very interesting.

There’s a recreated pilgrimage route, revived in 2012, between the cathedrals of Lichfield and Chester. It’s called The Two Saints Way. 

I must take more notice of the treasures and history  so close to home.
