Tower Bridge

This morning we went to a local playgroup. The other mums and children were lovely, Orla had fun and Conor was fascinated. But I realised that these kinds of groups aren't going to work for us as a way of Orla meeting children she can play with, as she was way older than them all. I had forgotten of course that children her age are actually in school down here. We came home for lunch and she said she wanted to stay here in the afternoon to play with Lego, so that's what we did. We headed to Tower Gateway late afternoon to meet Ed. She was very interested in the Crown Jewels, so that will be another day out. We walked over to Wapping via St Katherine's dock and had dinner in Pizza Express. I really like Wapping, it's really interesting with all the converted warehouses, docks and canals. Orla was very funny in the restaurant. She's not shy about telling waiters exactly what she wants: "a pepperoni pizza with no cheese, apple juice with no ice, strawberry ice cream with a chocolate straw and sprinkles".
