St Bees - coastline and sand textures

We visited St Bees head today and after passing the splendid lighthouse, spent a few hours being buffeted by winds and photographing Guillemots, Fulmars, and various Gulls, but weren't lucky enough to see any Razorbills, or the elusive Black Guillemot.

After we had almost been blown off the cliffs, we moved on to St Bees to concentrate on crabs, rock textures etc. I cheated and took this landscape from the cliffs overlooking St Bees bay, as I loved the sand textures, and the contrast between the dry areas of sand, and the damp areas near to the water.
