Flower .........

............. Friday31_2023  (FF31_2023)  -  and a fabulous blipmeet with Tina & Wayne (Paladian & Rower2012) who are over on a visit from Australia.

Hyacinths bagged in the Brighton Pavilion grounds.

I drove down to Gatwick airport and then we headed off to Brighton in the rain ......... as we arrived the rain stopped (there was a chilly wind blowing, though) and we walked along to the Brighton Pavilion and took a "tour" inside - absolutely stunning.

In the extras are five inside shots  -  the first shows a hand painted lampshade (far too beautiful to be just a lampshade but I don't know what else to call it) and the photo below shows it in-situ.    The second extra is part of the outside of the building and then one of the windows (bottom left) and a large glass ceiling panel (bottom right) with a fearsome but gorgeous dragon surrounded by a tile effect.

Following the ooohs and aaaahs inside there, we wandered along the road and discovered a lovely little cafe called Crepeaffaire run by Michael (a very happy Frenchman) and Simo (a stunningly pretty Italian)  -  more oooohs and aaahs as we ate our food and drank our drinks.

All of a sudden it was early evening - the afternoon flashed past as it does when you are in great company - off back to Gatwick to drop the visitors off and I headed off to Watford, to my hotel, ready for an Ancestry.com meeting the next day near Kings Langley.    A second cousin and a third cousin once removed to meet for the first time.

I seem to have written all this in the mixed tenses - sorry - it's because I'm back blipping on Sunday afternoon!!!!
