The Gates of the Morning

Just one of the locks on the canal this morning. Very calm and still at 7.18 am and there was a slight wisp of mist over the water. Quite chilly, 0.5C, when we arrived but it did warm up a bit fairly quickly.
Rather glad that it did as I was able to complete the power washing of our paths. 
Today’s extra is of a little wren that sat in a tree along the canal and chirped to us as we walked past.
