Electric storm

Thank you for the delightful comments on yesterday's blip. I was quite amazed it was so popular. Many of the comments were beyond what I would ever have expected to receive and I am touched by your generosity.

Last night, I was woken at some unearthly hour by terrific thunder. Being addicted to blip, my first thoughts were "blip"!!!

I scrambled out of bed, put the tripod and camera on the verandah and waited. I think I missed most of it but I did manage this capture. I would have loved some forked lightning!! I went back to bed and awoke this morning to a windy day but beautiful clear skies.
