Yay yellow rattle!

This is another blip purely for my mini meadow records.  Last year at this time I had lollipop sticks marking the very few yellow rattle plants I could find.  They are essential to the health of the meadow because they restrain the grass which otherwise might take over the wildflowers.

This year I am hard pressed to find a part of the meadow which doesn’t have yellow rattle growing.  I even spotted two tiny plants in Shep’s patch which is very promising as that is where the grass is at its thickest.
