Deadwater ...

... north of Kielder.  I am disappointed that the Deadwater sign features a dog rather than a steam engine - the old Border Counties Railway station is a few hundred yards down the slope to the right.  I found this interesting Blip when searching for Deadwater - the station had a history of employing lady station mistresses, as told in Golf in the Wild - Going Home.
