If you can't beat them...

Dandelion ( Taxacarum officinale )

A shot from my Thursday afternoon wander round Kanyl's garden, I took a shot of a number of flowers, but owing to the hooley that was blowing none of them were really acceptable.  This Dandelion was growing very low to the ground so it has turned out reasonably.

This flower is actually a composite of many florets, each seed in the "Dandelion clock" is the result of the fertilised floret.   All parts of Dandelions are edible, being a good source of vitamins A, C and K with smaller amounts of E and B9.  They also contain minerals, iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
