Post ice-storm damage

In the end, we got away with it in the south end of the city. Other than some fallen branches, there was not too much damage done. In the east end, however, it was much worse, with lengthy power outages. We were helped because the temperatures rose at the end, which caused the rarest of phenomena, ice thunder storms. There is something surreal about hearing branches of trees snap BEFORE a roll of thunder, especially whent hey are both close to you.

Thankfully the temperatures are continuing their upward trend and they have forecast 20 degrees for next Wednesday. Part of me suspects this is some sort of CBC joke to quell unrest. I'll be out there with my thermometer to let you know.

Other than that, a quiet day. Ottawacker Jr. came home from school and was out again before the front door had properly closed for the first time. Oh to be 10 again. He got his acceptance to the U11/U12 team, so is happy.
