Bridge at the Clachan

It was the Easter Saturday "Fun Day" in the Clachan of Glendaruel, which is an annual fund raiser and family event which takes place at the children's play park between the village and this bridge on what is called the "west road" .   That is actually the original road through the glen and the bridge is , according to local lore  , a "Telford Bridge" though it has had quite a lot of restoration over the years and does not feature in any list I have been able to find.

It is getting some more just now with restrictions on it once again and a schedule of repairs for it and another bridge on the road that will stretch over the summer.

My extra photo shows the good turnout at the event , which fortunately was blessed with wonderful sunshine and even a touch of warmth !
