Head of the Marsh

Took a walk this morning along the fire road leading to the head of the marsh. The conditions allowed me to wander along the water further than usual, and I got to spend some time enjoying a view I have only gotten once before, many years ago. That time a friend and I pulled our kayaks over a beaver dam and managed to paddle a bit further along than what can be seen here.

I managed to clamber out on a section of mushed down cattails and marsh grass so I could get this view of Western Mountain. Now I have a trifecta of sorts- this photo from the head of the marsh, the "normal" view from the roadside, and the "distant" view from the seawall by the shore, where the marsh ultimately drains out to sea.
