Waiting patiently!

The best part of the day was first thing in the morning when there wasn't a cloud in the sky or a ripple on the water. The heron is a regular visitor to the beach at low tide but this morning he was right over by the harbour sands just standing like a statue in an area where he had little chance of finding breakfast.
Along with many others we were making our way down to the harbour for an early morning Easter Service and then it was back up to the church hall for an Easter breakfast.
This afternoon it turned quite windy and really rather cold.
