Blackthorn

Blackthorn blooms on an old, lichen-encrusted hedgerow at the bottom of the valley. Today began in thick fog, but the sun burned through before we finished our breakfast waffles to give a beautifully warm day. J and I went to see the lambs again, I finished most of the greenhouse clearing and washed the inside of one, which means I can put start moving seedlings into it, and went for a short walk along the bottom of the valley. The sun was low and hazy by then, but I loved the soft colours of this hedgerow. It looks better focused when viewed large.
