Postie Treats

It was an early rise to get the airport bus for a 10:25 flight, but we did it. A 3 hour flight to Heathrow, much of it has cloud cover, so no views of Iceland or the Outer Hebrides again. A couple of hours wait for the flight up to Edinburgh and arrived  about 6pm and home by 7ish. On opening the front door, there was usual pile of letters, but I'd forgotten that our postie usually pops a treat through for Arlo, there were 8 treats in amongst the letters!!

Oh I can't wait to see him tomorrow (Arlo not the postie) .... I am terrible for anthropomorphising (I had to google that, putting human emotions onto animals) and feeling sorry for him, wondering what he's thinking, him wondering what has happened to us (I was even doing it with all the Icelandic horses we saw in the snow), but I am sure in reality he's getting 3 runabouts in a secured woods with some pals each day and he'll have been fine. Oh yeah, picking up the cats first, they're always fine.

So finally we watched "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga" tonight - we'd wanted to watch it before our trip to Iceland, but it works after too. Filmed in Husavik, Edinburgh and Glasgow, it was a humorous jaunt, with lots of scenes in places we'd seen in Husavik.
