Polyanthus

These wee plants are amazing. They have stood up to all the rain, hail, sleet and gales, the sparrows have pulled bits of their petals off and yet they are still flowering their little hearts out.

Today's weather has been horrendous. Trying to walk into the wind was almost impossible, it was so strong that it took your breath away. I was swathed in layers of fleece and cagoule, scarf, gloves and hat but still the icy wind found its way through. No morning plane because of the bad weather in Aberdeen, so no mail, which meant Mike only had local post to deliver and was finished by lunchtime! Of course this does mean a double load tomorrow, but that's island life for you!
