Wound up in Wexford

Windswept acer

One of just two isolated trees in our Irish garden.  This will be remedied on Thursday (weather permitting) when we have a bulk delivery/planting of trees.

We didn't know what the trees were until the last few days, when they started to grow leaves.

In extras, W trudging up to the compost bin with a bucket of kitchen waste!  It's one way of getting your steps in.

This morning I cycled again, then this afternoon I  spent some time putting the last few bits away in what is now known as the "book room" - since it is accommodating the bulk of our books.  It also has my exercise bike, and in the summer there will be two airbeds for the boys.  Before then, we need to sort out some curtains.

I also spent some time in "my room" - the chest of drawers was overstuffed and chaotic - now more organised.

This evening we entertained were entertained by Skippy, who will clean our house, and gutters, and anything else that stands still long enough he can think of.  He rang just before 5, and said he would be there "within the hour", but we're becoming accustomed to the flexibility of Irish time, and were not surprised that it was longer than that before he arrived!  And he could talk!
