Easter Monday at the Orchard

What a happy event this was. The weather turned out far better than expected and more people turned up than we expected so we had to get extra stocks of rolls and bacon from the village shop half way through the event. Children had fun decorating and rolling eggs as well as searching for unexpected things in the orchard (e.g. a coat hanger and a hammer), people of various ages planted dwarf peas in pots with willow supports and took them away to grow on at home. Everyone enjoyed sausage and bacon filled rolls, home baking (extra), hot fruit punch and teas and coffees. It’s a lot of work but we’ll worth doing to see folk of all ages, locals and visitors alike, all enjoying this lovely space.
