Beetroot seedlings

I moved some trays of seedlings into the greenhouse today, between downpours, so for Tiny Tuesday B is for my tiny beetroot seedlings. They proved quite challenging to photograph, as they are a tangle of stems with few unobstructed views, but I love the colours of this rainbow mix of traditional red, white and gold beetroots. We grew them very successfully last year, and still have half a dozen of the many jars I pickled to keep P in his daily breakfasts of toast spread with mustard and sandwiched with beetroot slices. I've also moved out lettuces, rocket and cabbages, so now have space to sow trays of herbs, starting with basil, marjoram, parsley and coriander.
