Snapping off twigs

..for the nest.

I will freely admit both these shots make more sense in large, but we all know that.

In the reserve even earlier than usual to catch the best of a rather wild day and was very pleased to catch this beauty adding various alder twigs to her nest.  The place was practically deserted. How peaceful.

Since then I've walked Hazel up to the pet shop for treats and gone into town for K's prescriptions and to organised a birthday cake for her for Sunday (no, I'm not making one, I just don't have the heft this year).

This afternoon has been a lot more peaceful.
