May the Toys be with you

The speaker at the Museum Society  was our President who gave a presentation about Virtual Reality, using a headset linked to a laptop. We travelled to Iceland, and Norway, and visited Stonehenge, and Petra. It made most people feel dizzy though, and was probably similar to John Logie Baird demonstrating how television worked. This was the last lecture, until we resume in October.
Our summer exhibition is called May The Toys Be With You, a celebration of the toys, design work and art of the Star Wars films. Apparently this exhibition has broken visitor attendance records at a host of museums around the country. It does nothing for me but I recognised the revolting Jaba the Hutt, which was much loved by our youngest and currently resides in the under house. Anyway it works, because on this rainy Wednesday the museum was packed with families.
